2025 Recap

Dearest Gentle Reader, Season’s greetings 🀍 If I’m being honest, I didn’t keep all the promises I made to myself and to you guys in January 2025πŸ₯Ί. And for a long time, that bothered me a whole lot. But looking back now, I understand why. Last year needed me to pause, to learn, to unlearn, and to grow, and I’m grateful for every part of it. One of the biggest lessons came from choosing a career path. As a Microbiology graduate who genuinely enjoyed every aspect of the course (weirdly so), deciding what direction to take wasn’t easy. I felt pulled in many directions, unsure of where I truly belonged. Eventually, I ran back to God for clarity and slowly, things began to align. That clarity led me to academic writing. It was something I had always been interested in but never quite knew how to begin. When I finally took the leap, it was challenging, exciting, and deeply fulfilling. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who referred me, trusted my work, and supported my journey. Thank you f...

LOVE BYTES; HOW DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY IS REDEFINING RELATIONSHIPS

Love is a beautiful thing, accompanied by an indescribable sweet feeling. While incorporating technology into love, love has its pros and cons, I believe that excessive reliance on technology for communication can lead to diminished focus on human interaction. This, in turn, can breed misunderstandings, insecurities, and digital distractions? πŸ˜‚- the worst! Imagine being vulnerable in a phone conversation with someone who's actually scrolling through Instagram, watching a reelπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. However, dating apps in Nigeria offer convenience, increased connections(not all the time I promise πŸ˜‚), time-saving, variety, anonymity, less pressure, and a fun and exciting experience, making them a popular choice for meeting new people, bonding over conversations and building relationships

Nigerian dating sites also have downsides( I know you were waiting πŸ˜‚), including fake profiles, scammers; especially in this generation of ours where everyone is just so eager to make quick money , lack of genuine connections, privacy concerns, and potential for harassment or catfishing.

And in marriage, digital technology increases connectivity and improves communication especially when physically apart. But in spite of that it has drawbacks (especially for the kids) ranging from decreased face to face interactions which could affect their social skills and confidence, to screen time and addiction plus it could also expose them to cyber bullying.

To build meaningful connections in a digital age, you most definitely need to be authentic and vulnerable in your online interactions. Practice active listening( and not giving the “I’m going through worse than you” feeling) and empathy to truly understand others. Engage in deep, meaningful conversations that go beyond surface-level topics. Set boundaries and prioritize quality over quantity (because why not) to nurture genuine relationships. Use technology to facilitate, not replace, human interaction and connection. Show genuine interest and care for others to build trust and rapport. Finally, be patient and invest time in building relationships that truly matter.

And until next time, stay curious !!!

How do you say you love someone,  like truly love them and still hurt them over and over again? πŸ₯Ί How do you do something  you know  will break them, yet still go ahead because, "oh of course, she’ll forgi...

Blogversary: 12 Months of Writing, Growing, and Connecting

On  12th August 2024 , I hit the publish button for the very first time. I wasn’t even sure what I wanted to do with this platform πŸ€” All I knew was that I had thoughts in my head and maybe this was the place to finally let them out. I thought it would just be me ranting into the void. But it turned into so much more. It became a community of people who  get me , who understand where I’m coming from, who read my words and say,  “exactlyyyyy, I feel this too.”  πŸ’› From “Just Rants” to Reaching Lives 🌍 In the past year, my posts have made people cry, laugh, and whisper to themselves,  “Oh, I needed to hear this today.” That’s when I realized I wasn’t just ranting as I thought. I was filling voids. I was reaching lives. 24 blog posts later, this little corner of the internet has reached readers across several nations of the world 🌎 Something I honestly never imagined when I started. This blog has been my safe space, my creative outlet, and the one place where I g...
