2025 Recap

Dearest Gentle Reader, Season’s greetings 🀍 If I’m being honest, I didn’t keep all the promises I made to myself and to you guys in January 2025πŸ₯Ί. And for a long time, that bothered me a whole lot. But looking back now, I understand why. Last year needed me to pause, to learn, to unlearn, and to grow, and I’m grateful for every part of it. One of the biggest lessons came from choosing a career path. As a Microbiology graduate who genuinely enjoyed every aspect of the course (weirdly so), deciding what direction to take wasn’t easy. I felt pulled in many directions, unsure of where I truly belonged. Eventually, I ran back to God for clarity and slowly, things began to align. That clarity led me to academic writing. It was something I had always been interested in but never quite knew how to begin. When I finally took the leap, it was challenging, exciting, and deeply fulfilling. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who referred me, trusted my work, and supported my journey. Thank you f...

Your faith and Validations!

Dearest gentle readerπŸ˜‚,

This is majorly for my girlies out there. I see you out here, pursuing God with all your heart—praying, blasting in diverse tongues, deepening your spiritual journey. But let me hit you with this truth: Don’t do it for the likes, don’t do it to be praised or to be seen as “spirit filled”

Yes, moving closer to God is great. It’s beautiful. There’s nothing like the peace that comes from knowing you’re in alignment with His will, there’s nothing as sweet as knowing Him and having a relationship with him. But if you're seeking validation from the people around you, if you're trying to "perform" your faith just to feel accepted, admired or loved, you're missing the whole point.

We live in a world where everyone is constantly putting their spiritual growth on display. Instagram stories with scriptures, prayer meetings that feel more like photo ops, and the pressure to look holy on the outside while wrestling with insecurities on the inside. I get it, girl. I've been there, scrolling through social media and wondering why I don’t seem to have the same level of spiritual “fire” as others, sometimes it just feels like maybe I do not have that deep relationship . But here's the thing I’ve learnt: your faith is not a competition, you’re not in a competition with ANYbody

God isn’t interested in the quantity of your prayers or the number of tongues you speak. He's after the quality of your heart. He wants you to be real, not perfect. He wants authenticity, not performance. And that's where so many of us get caught up—we want others to see us as spiritual, to validate our journey, you want them to see you as best in kaboshing and overall best in prayer. But let me remind you, your worth and value are not determined by how "spiritual" you appear to others.

So, the next time you’re in a prayer circle or at church, ask yourself: Why am I doing this? Is it to get a reaction? Or am I simply seeking to grow closer to God for the sake of His love and transformation? Am I building my relationship with God or am I trying to show off. Remember, your relationship with Him is between you two—no one else’s opinion matters.

Faith isn’t about doing things to impress others or keep up with what’s “trending” in Christian culture. It’s about authentic connection. It's about seeking God's approval, not man’s. So keep praying, keep seeking, keep growing—but always check your heart to make sure you’re doing it because you love Him, not because you want the world to see how holy you are.

P.s: this is not in anyway speaking to those who are genuinely spiritual.

P.sssπŸ˜‚: Happy new year besties

Blogversary: 12 Months of Writing, Growing, and Connecting

On  12th August 2024 , I hit the publish button for the very first time. I wasn’t even sure what I wanted to do with this platform πŸ€” All I knew was that I had thoughts in my head and maybe this was the place to finally let them out. I thought it would just be me ranting into the void. But it turned into so much more. It became a community of people who  get me , who understand where I’m coming from, who read my words and say,  “exactlyyyyy, I feel this too.”  πŸ’› From “Just Rants” to Reaching Lives 🌍 In the past year, my posts have made people cry, laugh, and whisper to themselves,  “Oh, I needed to hear this today.” That’s when I realized I wasn’t just ranting as I thought. I was filling voids. I was reaching lives. 24 blog posts later, this little corner of the internet has reached readers across several nations of the world 🌎 Something I honestly never imagined when I started. This blog has been my safe space, my creative outlet, and the one place where I g...
